Just in time for Christmas!

I’m pleased to introduce Mr. S. at just 6 days old – How cute is he and his big brother and sister?! I was really excited about doing the session so early on, Sam was due really close to Christmas but he didn’t want to wait and arrived a week early.  He was the perfect baby and the best sleeper, as you can see I was able to get some really gorgeous shots! I just LOVE him and his family!

Happy Birthday Miss O!

One of my favorite families. Her Mommy just gets it and truly values custom photography and knows its way more then having a nice camera. She also knows how quickly life passes you by. Wasn’t that long ago that Baby O was in for her Newborn Session and just like that… here we were this past week at her First Birthday Cake Smash session!

To say that I had fun at this newborn session is an understatement! LOL. I have been waiting for this one for a long time – I finally got to welcome home Terry and Crissy's new baby girl AND I had the privilege of photographing her! And although, I will say, this little lady definitely made me work for these portraits … I had kind of a rough start with her, 2.5 hours before I could take one picture!!! Dad worked his powers (twice!) to get her to sleep … we’d get her situated and ready for my camera and then she’d wake up. LOL. Once she was so tired and couldn't keep her eyes open anymore she was a dream.. oh it was so worth it. I captured a few of my favourites, and a few extra special ones for Mom and Dad! Terry & Crissy THANK YOU for allowing me to capture your new bundle of joy, she is so sweet and I can't wait to watch her grow.

I met Miss A. in the studio last Wednesday morning and had such a fun time working with her and her parents! She was a perfect little model for me and was happy to do whatever I asked of her, sleeping through just about the whole session. I just adore our results and all of the pretty portraits we were able to capture. Please welcome pretty Miss A. into the world!

Little Miss. "C" came to see me for her first pictures about 7 months ago, I'm always amazed at the difference just a few months can make...

I sure am lucky to photograph some of the most adorable babies around... This beautiful little girl came to visit me for some Holiday pictures, and just couldn't stop taking pictures... I especially fell in love with all her facial expressions...

Lu Family Sneak Peek!

Have I told you how much fun I've had with all my Holiday Mini-Sessions? If I didn’t say anything – let me bring it up again – I HAD A BLAST doing these sessions! I met a total of 16 families over the past 3 weeks… sounds like a lot but they were spread out enough that it was so effortless. We got a ton of gorgeous portraits and couldn’t be happier with our results.I hope all of my Holiday Mini-Session clients enjoyed their sessions as much as I did! I will *definitely* be doing these again next year!

 

I got to meet this fun family for the first time on day. "D" was such a character and so full of life! Little Miss "A" was so sweet, but I couldn't get her to smile if my life depended on it!! Still cute as a button though...

 

 

Sienna's Sneak Peek!

Such a sweet little face! At just 12 days old, Miss S. was absolutely precious! I loved getting the chance to get to know her new family, just a few weeks before Sienna arrived I had the opportunity to photograph Leslie & Sean for their maternity session, who I feel in love with right away and couldn't wait to meet their sweet baby girl! Although Sienna wasn’t all that interested in posing or sleeping for us Saturday, I was able to get her to drift off a few times for some beautiful portraits :-) I’m sure Mom and Dad will agree it was worth the effort when they see their daughter’s gorgeous images!

 

 

I often get questions about editing and thought it might be fun for you to see what an image looks like before and after an edit. My goal as a photographer is to get close to perfect images in-camera, as much as possible. In this situation, I boosted the contrast and exposure a tad, warmed up the color balance and ran a skin smoothing action. Ta-da, done!
